Happiness: 5 tips unusual (and work) to be happy

HAPPINESS - You want to be happy? Here are five tips to get there, based on the latest research in the field.
5 tips unusual (and work) to be happy

1. Walk as if you were in a commercial for shampoo.
The general idea: what you do affects how you feel, says author Richard Wiseman, in his latest book, The As If Principle. In other words, behave as if you were happy and you will be, scientifically speaking.
A weird thing to do might work: change the way you walk. The researchers found that people who walk with long strides (long strides, swing arm) for three minutes feel "really happier" than those who walk shuffling (not small, curved shoulders, face down).

2. Act as if nothing had ever happened.
The general idea :: Most of us have some idea of when or how they will benefit more from life ("When I get this job!" Or "If I get married"), which fact prevents us from being happy, says Sonja Lyubomirsky in his book The Myths of Happiness. All these ideas are not also concern the future. Constantly thinking that if we had acted differently in the past, we would be happy today, is just as bad.
A weird thing to do might work: create "a new yourself."
The first step: the look or the things that you absolutely want but you have not obtained (eg, "I wanted to skate at the Olympic Games" or "I wanted to have a child"). Next, examine the specific reasons which have prevented this dream come true: what people and / or events which have influenced you, in which minor or major did you choose? Once this painful task has been carried out - a job that most people avoid doing - you will be better prepared to imagine "a new yourself." In other words, you can now begin work soon on the person you want to become, instead of comparing yourself or try to catch the person you want to be before.

3. Give to help yourself.
The general idea :: give until you succeed, says Adam Grant, author of the forthcoming book Give and Take, explaining how the generosity helps you to grow and not to fail - even in the most difficult situations.
A weird thing to do might work: buy your mother cashmere socks. Researchers from the Harvard Business School, University of British Columbia and the University of Liège and established buying something for someone else - as long as it does not exceed a reasonable range of 3 15 euros - makes you happier than buying the same thing for yourself.

4. Whisper in the dark.
The general idea :: There has never been more Americans are dissatisfied with their work situation since the recession, says Lyubomirsky. Admittedly, this may be the result of lower wages and longer hours. But it may also be because we are used to the positive aspects of our jobs and we have seen a little faster as insured.
A weird thing that might work to: establish a list of everything you like - or worship - in your work attitude open to new ideas by example, or a laptop that you can take home . If you're one of the people who make lists of things they are thankful just before going to bed, be aware that your spouse can worry a little to hear you whisper in the dark "milk hazelnut taste unlimited . Gentil boss. Sticky free. "

5. Drop the thought "smiley"
The general idea :: some people play to win. Others play not to lose, says new book Focus: Use Different Ways of Seeing the World for Success and Influence. Discover what type you belong helps motivate you to succeed more quickly and simply feel better.
A weird thing to do might work: refuse to be optimistic (if you are not a positive person). In an experiment conducted by the two authors, Heidi Grant Halvorson and E. Tory Higgins was given a set of letters to people "playing not to lose" (which also tend to be pessimistic). In the middle of the game, they were told that they had succeeded - they then quickly lost motivation and stopped playing. However, when they were told mid-game they do not really succeeded, they were motivated to do better, solved more puzzles and have more fun. All this brings us back to the good old principle of happiness: be yourself. You have the right to be pessimistic.

How To Study Effectively: Two Simple Tips To Create More Free Time

Your time is by far your most important resource. Why? Well it's the only thing you can't get more of. Think about it. No matter what you do you can never ever get more time. Can you?

But more important than understanding that time is your most important resource is knowing that there are no guarantees about how much time you have left. I don't mean to shock you, but you have no idea if you have 50 years left or 50 seconds left. There is no way you can predict how much time you have left. Sure, you can make a guess. But that's all it is - a guess. Unfortunately, most people have no idea how valuable their time is and they spend it like it will never end! Everything they want to achieve will happen "one day" or "at some point".

But how can this be? The only thing you really have in life is your time. You can get more money or more stuff but your amount of time never stops getting smaller and smaller. Look, it's ticking away right now. Goodbye time! Thanks for coming. Can you see that your time is not to be wasted?

So how do you spend your time? Have you been wasting it? Or do you spend your time wisely? Whilst we now know we can't get more time, we can always save time can't we? We can work faster or we can work smarter and by doing these things we can save time. When we save time we create more free time. We all like free time don't we?

We all love free time don't we? Free time is time free of any outside obligation. It's all yours to do with as you please. Ideally, your entire day (every day) would be free time. That would be time nirvana! But that's a discussion for another day. You want more free time so that you can spend more time doing whatever you want to do (like play video games or sit on the internet for 6 hours straight for no reason). So let's look at two simple strategies that you can use straight away to create more free time.

Number one: Four or five 15-minute breaks from doing work equals an hour or more of free time every day. If you do that five days a week that's five or so more hours of free time every week. Five hours a week equals 250 hours a year! What could you do in 250 hours of free time? That's a lot of time to do whatever you love doing.

Number two: Identify your "dead time" and start putting it to good use. What's dead time you may ask? Why it's the time of the day when you don't have free time but you're also not being productive (like studying or working). For example, you may be waiting at a bus stop for the bus to come, or be sitting on the bus, or be walking to school or work, or be sitting in a car, or you might even be walking the dog. This is time that is hardly ever used - so get ahead by using it.

There are plenty of things that can be done during this time. Listen to a recording you made of some information you need to memorize. Practice a speech or pitch you're working on. Look over some flash cards. Do some reading. Watch a video on your phone (hopefully something that actually advances your current life goal - not just funny cute cat videos). This is time that you can use to get ahead. If you do 20 minutes of work on the bus on the way home then that's 20 minutes less you have to do when you get home. If you do that every day for five days a week that will be 100 minutes ahead each week. If you do that every week you will be 5200 minutes ahead (which is 86.67 hours in case you were wondering).

We truly hope you value your time. Your time is very important and very valuable. Remember, your time is limited - you can never get it back. Never waste any of your time. Never allows others to waste your precious time. Make every day, make every hour, make every minute, make every second, count. Save as much time as you possibly can so you can spend as much of your time as you possibly can doing the things you love doing. That's what your life is all about isn't it? Good luck.

A Great Spa Installation Is An Excellent Choice

A Great Spa Installation Is An Excellent Choice

During your house hunting days, there is no doubt that you saw some very interesting spa installation arrangements that people do in their homes. Everyone has their own ideas and it is great to get some inspiration from other people. This gives you some great opportunity to include some of the ideas that you have seen to your own home.

Should you be looking at buying a house and come across one that meets your requirements, you would be advised to go ahead and purchase it if the price is acceptable. This is a good idea as even if it does not have all the additional extras you could still go ahead and have the alterations done or the additions added. For instance, you may have seen a great idea of a spa during your viewings of the other houses that you have been to visit during your house hunting expeditions.

Should you not have the space for a pool in your new garden, you may well have enough space for a small spa instead. Many people prefer a spa to a pool as they are less work to maintain. They do take a lot of effort, but they are usually great to use all year round as they are normally warmed which is great for the winter time.

If you have the space in the garden under the gazebo, this would be a great place for one. They are very nice in the summer time after you have spent a busy day at the office. It is very relaxing to sit in them as they spew bubbles all over you. This is sure to calm you down after a rough day and at the same time they massage your tired body.

Should you have the right space for such a spa, you would do well calling in a couple of contractors to give you some quotes for such a job. These places will have an array of shapes and sizes for you to choose from. You will also be able to choose how many jets you have in it.

Spas are fantastic for relaxation purposes and nothing beats sitting in one with the jets spraying bubbles all over you after a long day at the office. This is good for the skin and calms you down as you happily sit in the spa and sip cocktails and watch the sun go down in the summer. The nice thing about them is that they are heated which makes it pleasant to get into at any time of the year.

Such a spa company will come in and do such an installation within two to three days. These are relatively easy to install as all they require is the hole for the shell to go into and then for all the pipes to be fitted to the pump and filter. Before long the spa will be installed and you will soon be able to enjoy your first sundowners in your spa.
